The 74th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day was celebrated everywhere, from Sabang to Merauke. Independence anniversary celebration was also held by DAHANA’s employees at Adaro Site in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, on August 17, 2019.
The celebration began with an independence ceremony led directly by the Director of Management of Coal Exploitation of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, M. Hendrasto who also gave some messages on behalf of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan under the theme of Excellent HR for Advancement of Indonesia.
“Energy management policies in Indonesia that manifest in the real sector of ESDM are implemented in the context of practicing the five precepts of Pancasila, namely social justice for all Indonesian people,” Hendrasto said.
PT DAHANA (Persero) represented by Adaro’s PJO Site Sony Marindo said that the Independence Day of August 17 has always been the right momentum for Indonesia to commemorate and appreciate the sacrifice of the country’s independence heroes. This will trigger patriotic spirit to continue to maintain independence and contribute even the small thing in this modern era for the sake of our beloved Indonesian country.
“One of my passions when I entered DAHANA is because DAHANA belongs to the state. When I contribute a lot to DAHANA, I automatically contribute to the State,” Sony said.
In addition, Sony also hopes that on the occasion of independence day commemoration DAHANA will continue to improve employee competence and knowledge to the lowest level in the field in order to build Dahana’s excellent human resource for the advancement of Indonesia.
In addition to the independence ceremony, celebrations were also enlivened with competitions for employees and the families of employees on site. The competitions ranged from traditional cracker eating competition, ball driving competition using eggplant, flour relay competition, ranking 1, and table tennis competition.
The event became even more lively when prizes were handed out, followed by communal luncheon. There are so many ways to enliven the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary, even in the remote site far from the DAHANA headquarters located in Subang, West Java.
