SYDNEY – PT DAHANA attended the International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC) which was held at the International Convention & Exhibition Center, Sydney, Australia, from 2 to 4 November 2022. DAHANA’s presence was a recommendation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) that DAHANA be part of the delegates of the Republic of Indonesia.

IMARC is Australia’s largest mining industry conference and exhibition venue which connects mining leaders with technology, finance and the future. The exhibition, which was held for three days, was packed with various discussions that brought together world mining experts and entrepreneurs, such as discussion on the Mining Value Chain.

General Manager of DTU 2 DAHANA, Abdul Haris said, this event is a step by the government to encourage Indonesian companies to expand the market in Australia. DAHANA participated in several agendas in this event, such as being a panel discussion speaker with Deputy Minister of Investment (BKPM) Indra Darmawan, Executive Director of EMR, Toni Manini, and Chair of Mineral, Energy & Industry Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), Geoffrey Gold, in a conference under the theme of Indonesian Mining and Downstream Investment.

“During the discussion we conveyed the profile of the DAHANA company which offers drilling & blasting services business line in Indonesia, and has served numerous mines in Indonesia, both with the status of Domestic Investment (PMDN) and Foreign Investment (PMA). Apart from that, we also elaborated how DAHANA’s products have been trusted by the Australian market that have regularly imported DAHANA’s explosives in the last three years,” said Mr Haris.

In addition to taking part as a speaker, DAHANA also carried out various other activities, such as attending a meeting of the Indonesian Delegates which was also attended by the Indonesian Ambassador, the Indonesian Consulate Generals in Australia, and the Deputy Minister of BKPM with Australia’s mining entrepreneurs. During the meeting, DAHANA conveyed its superior product capabilities and Human Resources which have been trusted in both Indonesia and in Australia.

DAHANA also had the opportunity to attend a banquet with the Australian Institute of Mining and Metal Energy (AusIMM), and meet with Australian mining businesses. During the event which was initiated by BKPM and AIBC, DAHANA participated in a networking process with several employers and workers’ associations in the Australian mining sector.

DAHANA also promoted its superior products at the BKPM’s booth. Mr Haris added that he met with Australian mining industry players at the booth which was also attended by representatives of Indonesian mining companies, such as Merdeka Cooper and Gold, Agincourt-Martabe, Bukit Asam, and Pama Persada.

“Apart from that, the Australian government through the Australian Trade and Investment Commission for natural resources has also invited DAHANA to a follow-up meeting with several Australian companies meeting which will have something to do with DAHANA’s business. We hope that, with DAHANA’s presence in this IMARC Event, DAHANA will become better known in the mining industry in Australia and is able to increase sales of DAHANA’s products in Australia in the future,” concluded Mr Haris.
