SUBANG - PT DAHANA gave training on Safety Behavior to the employees to increase awareness and mindset of safe behavior within the work environment. The training took place in a hybrid manner. Subang employees attended training at the DAHANA Subang Auditorium, while employees outside Subang joined online through a zoom meeting on 6-7 December 2022.

The committee from DAHANA's Human Capital Development, Ezha Kurniasari said, Safety Behavior training is very important, considering that DAHANA's business in the field of blasting poses to a high risk. Therefore, this training was given to remind and increase employees' awareness of work safety and security.

 

"We hope that each participant can become a role model in safety behavior in their respective work units and departments and be able to take the initiative in making changes to make the work environment safer (safe behavior and safe conditions)," said Nia, nickname for Miss Kurniasari.

Nia added that the participants in the Safety Behavior training this time included employee representatives from various sections, namely the Energetic Material Center (EMC) Department, Production Operators, Security Section, Warehousing, Representatives for each building at the Subang Head Office, Jakarta Office Representatives, General Mining Division Site Project (DTU), Quarry & Construction Division (DKK) Site Project, Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL), Oil, Gas and Military Division, as well as PT KAN's subsidiary.

During the training the participants were provided with various theories and practices by consultant Misjar Wilyanto with regards to safety such as behavior introduction, case studies, principles of behavior change, tools for teams, behavior observation, behavior observation practice to AN Warehouse, Production of Non-Electric Detonator and Cartridge Emulsion, intervention, and the authority to stop work.

"Up to the present DAHANA has implemented the zero-accident principle in every activity; for example, employees at the project site, regularly hold a 5-minute meeting (P5M) every morning to discuss security and safety issues that occurred the previous day and then re-explain the principles of Health and Occupational Safety (K3) for employees," said Nia.

In addition to that, various other trainings are also regularly held, such as fire-fighting training, to disaster management simulation training at DAHANA's Central Management Office (Campus) in collaboration with the Army, the Police and, POLRI, BPBD Subang, and other related stakeholders.
