Subang, June 21, 2022. DAHANA was trusted a blasting work with National Strategic Project (NSP) of the Cisumdawu Toll Road. Owing to its experienced team and the latest technology, DAHANA’s the blasting technology is considered to be important for speeding up the construction process of the Cisumdawu toll road.
DAHANA's Director of Operations, Bambang Agung said that DAHANA would continue to support the development of NSP in the country, one of which was the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road. He conveyed that DAHANA's involvement in NSP is a form of the company's efforts in solving problems faced by the Indonesian people.
“National Strategic Projects are a blessing for companies, as companies can be involved in national development such as the Cisumdawu Toll Road which will later become a support for development in the Rebana area, and facilitate community mobility, which is expected to contribute to boosting the national economy in the region," said Mr Agung.
The construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, which will later allow the community’s access to the West Java International Airport (BIJB), is also predicted to accelerate economic growth in West Java. The presence of Cisumdawu Toll Road will make it possible for the people of Bandung – Majalengka to cut down mobility time to one hour or less, from the original three hours of travel.
DAHANA was granted a blasting contract for section 4 of the Cisumdawu (Cimalaka – Legok) toll road from August 2021 to August 2022 with a volume of approximately 1.5 million bank cubic meters. General Manager of DAHANA's Quarry & Construction Division, Setio Budhianto said, under the given challenge, his team has had 60% of the construction process completed.
"The relatively short implementation time and the close proximity of the community (200 meters) are a challenge for DAHANA, but owing to the latest blasting methodology and technology, the DAHANA field team has successfully overcome these challenges," said Mr Budhianto.
DAHANA carried out drilling and blasting activities using Dabex explosives supported by the Mobile Manufacturing Truck (MMT) unit. Led by PJO Herlan Setiadi, the team is currently focusing on hill leveling work for further road structure work.
As is known, some sections of the Cisumdawu toll road have been completed, and can be accessed by the public for free. The Cisumdawu toll road has a total of 60.10 km and is divided into six work sections consisting of, Section I Cileunyi - Rancakalong of 11.4 km, Section 2 Rancakalong - Sumedang of 17.05 km, Section 3 Sumedang – Cimalaka of 4.05 km, Section 4 Cimalaka – Legok of 8.20 km, Section 5 Legok – Ujungjaya of 14.9 km, and Section 6 Ujungjaya – Dawuan of 6.06 km.
Minister of Public Work and People’s Housing Basuki Hadimuljono on June 11 emphasized that the construction of the Cisumdawu toll road must also pay attention to aesthetics to make sure that motorists passing along the toll road can have a pleasant experience and feel comfortable driving
"Hopefully, the construction of the Cisumdawu toll road can be completed on time, so that people can immediately take advantage of it," concluded Mr Agung.
