DAHANA donated a number of dummies of explosives products to the Centre for Display of Science and Technology (PP-IPTEK). The signing and submission of dummy-shaped explosives from DAHANA was held during the opening of the 2019 Indonesia Science Day (ISD), Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the PP-IPTEK at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Jakarta.

Indonesia Science Day, which runs for the second time, is an open house event for the nation’s technological innovations and various scientific education programs of R & D institutions, universities, schools, and science and technology communities. Under the theme of ‘Encouraging the Creation of Science and Technology Resources Entering the Industrial Era 4.0’, this event also became a gathering moment for exchange of ideas among Indonesian innovators. The exhibition lasted for four days, from 25 to 28 April 2019.

“Broader promotion of PP-IPTEK to the public through media exhibitions and workshops in ISD 2019 opens new insights for PTN / PTS, R & D Institutions, the industries they produce are needed by the general public, especially students involved in science. “There is interaction between the creator inventor of science and the users/users of science (society) so that the role of science in society becomes more important,” M. Syachrial Annas, Director of PP-IPTEK, pointed out.

The ISD 2019 exhibition participants consisted of 24 Institutions, 54 Universities, and 6 High Schools. 7 agencies joined the Wahana Inovasi Indonesia, namely the EIJKMAN LBM, the NDHI Cluster of the SoE Ministry in addition to. 17 Ministry Agencies and Non-ministries and related communities.

PT DAHANA (Persero) President Director Budi Antono signed a cooperation agreement with PP IPTEK, and handed over a number of dummies of its main products such as Mobile Manufacturing Truck (MMT), Rhan 122 rocket, Mock Up Bomb P 100 Live, Dayagel, Dabex, and a number of other explosives.

“We hope that the presence of Innovation products from DAHANA through the display can add to the pride and insight of visitors so that they grow more interest in the world of science,” said Budi Antono.
This donation was a follow-up to the cooperation agreement related to the Synergy of the Development and Empowerment of Indonesian Technology Outcomes in the Indonesian Forum for Innovation. This was agreed upon by six SoE’s PT DAHANA (Persero), PT PINDAD (Persero), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT Len Industri (Persero), PT INUKI (Persero), and PT INTI (Persero) along with the institution leaders under the supervision of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.

With this NDHI Innovation Forum, visitors do not need to go all the way to Subang to get to know Dahana’s explosive products. They can simply come to the Centre for Display of Science and Technology Center located at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). (yz)
