DAHANA Delivered Charity and Financial Assistance for Construction of Orphan Dormitory in Banten.

Again, PT DAHANA (Persero) worked together with the local community in need in accordance with the motto of BUMN Present for the Country. This time DAHANA ran an event which was originally launched by the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SoE).

During the 2019 SoE Present for the Country events, DAHANA gave several charity programs including the Ramadhan Safari, Orphanage Charity, free Idul Fitri homecoming transport, Students Getting to Know the Archipelago program, Commemoration of Indonesian Independence Anniversary and CSR for distribution of the basic needs.

PT DAHANA (Persero) is part of the BHUN activities coordinator for Banten Province in collaboration with Krakatau Steel, Bulog, and PTPN 8. On Friday morning, May 17, 2019, the state-owned explosives company distributed charity items to 200 orphans from three foundations in the city of Serang.
A total of 1,000 orphans and people of low-income families was the target of the Banten BHUN Assistance Program in hoping that the program might help ease the burden they have been carrying out. Among the three orphanage foundations that received DAHANA assistance were two Yakenas and Al Mubarok Boards for Child Social Welfare, and Bina Wanita Bahagia Foundation.

The charity program was delivered at YAKENAS on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Cipare Serang, Banten. In addition to distributing charity to orphans, DAHANA also provided development assistance in the amount 100 million rupiah to the YAKENAS which was in need of cash build an orphanage dormitory.

“We express our gratitude to PT DAHANA (Persero) for helping orphans and poor people and for helping build the orphan dormitories that was unfinished due to lack of funds. Hopefully, with Dahana’s contribution, it will be possible for us to complete the construction of the building,” said Rauhah, Leader YAKENAS.
This charity delivery program took place very solemn and emotional to some. The Director of Finance & HR of PT DAHANA (Persero) also attended to the assistance delivery program to the orphans and YAKENAS.

“I am happy and on the same time so grateful with the course of the program. We are sharing our happiness with those who need. We are touched by the sincere prayers from those who pray for DAHANA and its extended family, wishing Dahana to grow and succeed in carrying out the business,” said Eman.
