PT DAHANA (Persero) is a state-owned company engaged in the explosives industry which began its operation in a humble way. Initially DAHANA was only a provider of explosives, then through a Joint Operation it began to learn how related services works in the industry. Now DAHANA is capable of being independent, possessing technology and qualified human resources to provide excellent services to drilling and blasting service users.
Another progress that Dahana has reached is its ability to produce explosives directly at the customer’s site. This technology is called On Site Plant (OSP) with which DAHANA is able to reduce production costs and improve the effectiveness of its customer performance.
One site that recently benefitted from the OSP is the Indo Muro Kencana (IMK) site. To extend gratitude for the progress, DAHANA employees at IMK Site held a gathering by having the ‘tumpeng meal’ for communal fast breaking at the IMK Site, Tuesday, May 14, 2019. The event was also attended by PT DAHANA (Persero) Operations Director Bambang Agung who was conducting a field visit .
“Dahana’s presence at JSP IMK was a business leap that was carried out due to the fact that in 2002 it was only a Joint Operation with Dyno West Farmer as a company studying services in the field whereas emulsion still had to be imported directly from Australia. In 2018, Dahana was back and “set foot on the IMK Site with significant progress,” said Bambang Agung in his remarks.
In addition, Agung also said, that DAHANA has been able to independently provide blasting services and even drilling, and moreover the emulsion is no more imported from Australia. Under DAHANA’s mastery in technology, On Site Plant makes it possible to produce emulsion directly at the mine site.
The DAHANA’ innovation success in term of human resources and HR and technology has also become a concern of consumers, one of which was the appreciation given by the General Manager of PT IMK Sutarno Putro who directly enjoyed the experience with services from DAHANA.
“The DAHANA Team’s support and performance at IMK has been very extraordinary, with developments to date so helpful in the process of achieving the desired mining performance, coupled from the beginning of operations to the present. Dahana is capable of operating with Zero LTI, which has reached Man Hour figure of 5.2 million hours, “said Sutarno.
In addition to the Director of Operations at DAHANA and IMK General Manager, this thanksgiving and opening ceremony was attended by the Mining Manager of PT IMK, the Production and Engineering Team, the Project Team and Civil Construction, DAHANA Jsp IMK employees, and the DAHANA Jsp IMK Contractors.
