JAKARTA – PT DAHANA has completed its construction work on the Cisumdawu Toll Road (Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan) by performing the final blasting on October 18, 2023. PT Wika, as the project owner, trusted DAHANA’s superior human resources and modern blasting technology to accelerate the construction of the Cisumdawu toll road that started in August 2021.

General Manager of DAHANA’s Quarry and Construction Division, Setio Budhianto, in Jakarta (19/01) on behalf of the Company, thanked all DAHANA personnel from the board of directors to employees in the field who had worked hard to accelerate one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) in West Java.

“Thank you to all DAHANA people, both the BoD staff for their support, and the employees who have devoted all their energy and thoughts to provide the best for consumers. Hopefully the Cisumdawu Toll Road can fully operate immediately in order to increase the mobility of the people’s economy,” said Mr Budhianto.

Mr Budhianto added that DAHANA was entrusted with the blasting contract in section 4 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road which stretches from Cimalaka to Legok with a volume of approximately 1.5 million bank cubic meters, with the challenges of layered materials (sand, soft soil, and massive) as well as various joints between rocks.

“Apart from that, in the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, DAHANA is also required to efficiently minimize environmental impacts by making necessary  improvisation according to the needs in the field,” said Mr Budhianto.

Owing to the various experiences in several accelerated toll road construction projects such as in Sumatra, employees are swiftly able to cope with various challenges. The project is also equipped with DAHANA’s diverse explosives technology and can be adapted to the needs and terrain in the field.

Mr  Budhianto hoped that DAHANA’s work on the Cisumdawu Toll Road can help increase consumer confidence in carrying out drilling and blasting projects in the quarry and construction sectors.

“Hopefully the proof that DAHANA has provided on the Cisumdawu Toll Road and various other projects can increase consumer confidence, so that DAHANA can get more quarry and construction projects,” concluded Mr Budhianto.

The Cisumdawu toll road has a total length of 60.10 km and is divided into six sections of work consisting of, Section I Cileunyi – Rancakalong of 11.4 km, Section 2 Rancakalong – Sumedang of 17.05 km, Section 3 Sumedang – Cimalaka of 4.05 km, Section 4 Cimalaka – Legok of 8.20 km, Section 5 Legok – Ujungjaya of 14.9 km, and Section 6 Ujungjaya – Dawuan of 6.06 km.

The construction of this toll road is expected to ensure convenient connection for the public to access the West Java International Airport (BIJB), and is predicted to accelerate economic growth in West Java. With the Cisumdawu Toll Road, the people of Bandung – Majalengka can shorten their trip by up to one hour or less from the original three hours of travel.
