In view of implementation of  the Anti-bribery Management System (SMAP), PT DAHANA (Persero) conducted an Internal Audit which took place on September 14-15, 2021. The SMAP Internal Audit Kick Off Meeting was carried out by means of virtual meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

In his report, Bayu Anggoro as the Head of the Anti-Bribery Compliance Function (FKAP) said that referring to the Internal Audit Procedure No. DHN-1.6-PR-SMAP-006 revision 03 dated March 19, 2021 sub 6.1, the internal audit should be done at least 1 (one) time a year, and the Anti-Bribery Compliance Task Force will carry out an internal audit of PT Dahana’s SMAP in 2020.

“The FKAP  (anti-bribery function) team will carry out internal audits, from the board of directors level to the work unit,” said Bayu.

Meanwhile, DAHANA’s Director of Finance, Risk Management and Human Resources Ahyanizzaman stated in his speech that auditors should be independent, including when auditing the board of directors level. With an independent attitude, Ahyanizzaman hoped that independence will result in accurate audits.

“Such SMAP is part of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). It is our hope that the SMAP internal audit can run well. SMAP should not only be just implemented; it can actually be implemented properly and substantially understandable by every person in DAHANA, or when later they make transactions with other parties,” he said.

Ahyanizzaman also explained that there are two things that support the implementation of this SMAP. Firstly, the spiritual side, where in religious teachings there is a value that the recipient and giver of bribes will get punished, bribes will bring the perpetrators and their families who live on bribes to a life that  is not  granted with blessings.

Secondly, it refers to the terms of SOEs that have declared AKHLAK as core values, in which one of its components is related to SMAP such as AMANAH, where value of integrity is respected. According to Ahyanizzaman, this is the basis for SOE actors or personnel to implement SMAP properly.

As formerly knows, DAHANA received the SNI ISO 37001: 2016 Anti-bribery Management System (SMAP) certificate on October 22, 2020. T hat time DAHANA became the 21st SOE to receive this certificate. The system has been designed to create an anti-bribery culture and assist in the implementation of controls for prevention, detection, treatment and reduction of  bribery in the first place.
