PT DAHANA (Persero) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Schlumberger Geophysics Nusantara (SGN) for the establishment of Shaped Charges plant. The signing was held in a hybrid on Friday, August 13, 2021, in the Smart Room of the DAHANA Subang Campus.

 

The MoU and NDA were signed by DAHANA’s President Director Wildan Widarman and SGN’s Managing Director Devan Keith K. Jeya Raj. Both parties agreed to explore Cooperation in the construction of the Shaped Charges Plant in the form of a Joint Operation.

 

“This factory is planned to cater to the domestic market with possible export in the forthcoming years. We hope that the construction of the Shaped Charges Plant in Indonesia will increase the TKDN–domestic content level in term of shaped charges products. In addition, this development can increase the company’s future revenue potential,” said Wildan Widarman.

 

Government support is shown through the alignment of the oil and gas industry towards local industries which is specified in the 2017 Regulations of SKK Migas PTK-007 in connection with the Work Procedure Guidelines which requires that the use of domestic products is mandatory in the implementation of work tenders.

 

In his remarks, SGN Managing Director Devan Keith K. Jeya Raj said that shaped charges with good quality are required today to produce high productivity in oil and gas exploration.

 

“Shaped charges are very important one of which is to help boost the government’s target to increase oil and gas production where oil is targeted at one million barrels/day. The choice of Dahana as our partner is owing to the fact that Dahana is the most committed and competent, and in addition to that, it is also meant to increase TKDN, “said Devan.

 

Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense, which carries out the function of providing guidance and development to explosives business entities also provides support. This was conveyed by the Secretary of Directorate General of Defense Potential, Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Aribowo Teguh Santoso, S.T., M.Sc.

 

“We support and appreciate the achievements of PT DAHANA (Persero) in developing innovative, creative processes, products, and or services in anticipation to to the current market needs. This collaboration is also a momentum to realize the independence of the national explosives industry by reducing dependence on imports,” said Aribowo Teguh.

 

On this occasion, DAHANA’s Board of Commissioners, represented by commissioner Rina Moreta, advised the management of Dahana to immediately follow up on the collaborations that have been carried out to the next stage.

 

“To make sure that the establishment of the Electronic Detonator Factory and Shaped Charges Factory can be carried out and become a portfolio for DAHANA as a leading company in the explosives sector,” said Rina Moreta.

 

SGN is Schlumberger’s subsidiary in Indonesia, which supplies goods and services, ranging from exploration to production in the oil and gas industry. Meanwhile, DAHANA, a state-owned defense industry company whose business sector is oil and gas, offers perforation and seismic explosives services along with other supporting services such as explosive mobilization and related permits.
