DAHANA again got an award at the National OHS Month Commemoration event organized by PT Semen Padang. This timer, DAHANA won the Best Mining Service Company (PJP) award, and Best Operations Manager (PJO) award at PT Semen Padang’s Department of Mining and Raw Material Management.
The award was handed over by the Head of Mining Engineering at PT Semen Padang, Hendri Priparis to PJO of DAHANA Jobsite Project Semen Padang – DKK, Melandra Wahyu Dwiputra, at the 2023 National OHS Month Closing Ceremony of the Mining Department of PT Semen Padang on 10 February 2023 at Wisma Indarung PT Semen Padang, in Padang, West Sumatra.
Mr Dwiputra said that the assessment was carried out based on the performance of DAHANA JsP Semen Padang’s Safety Performance during 2022 period. The assessment and evaluation period itself was carried out from January to February 2023 in commemoration of the OHS Month of the Ministry of Mining & Raw Material Management of PT Semen Padang.
“Alhamdulillah, we would like to thank all the support from the DAHANA management team and all the Quarry & Construction Division Frog Squad teams. Hopefully this achievement can continue to motivate us to be even better in the future,” said Mr Dwiputra.
Mr Dwiputra added that DAHANA’s overall assessment and evaluation results referred to aspects of good mining practices (Good Mining Practice) within the scope of the Mining Business Permit area of PT Semen Padang.
DAHANA, since July 2021, has improved its services to Semen Padang in terms of Blasting Services activities following the success of DAHANA’s provision of best Down The Holes (DTH) Services activities at the mine owned by PT Semen Padang.
In each process, DAHANA is committed to providing the best service to consumers, while paying attention to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) aspects to create the state of Zero Accidents. Every day, before starting the blasting activity, DAHANA’s employees at Jsp Semen Padang hold a 5-minute meeting (P5M) to ensure that the blasting runs safely.
During the 2023 National OHS Month Commemoration, DAHANA also held various activities to increase employee awareness of the importance of OHS, such as OHS Month Opening Ceremony, Healthy Worker Exercise, Accident Investigation Contest, Rescue & Fire Fighting Contest, OHS Quiz Competition, 3 on 3 Basketball Competition, OHS poster competition, OHS photography competition, talk show, Best Safety Performance Award, Selection of the best site, Compliance with the use of PPE, Launching of RFID Access, and exhibitions.
