"Thank God, my business has grown after becoming a foster partner in DAHANA as the program helped a lot in terms of capital," Hernawan said.

Hernawan started a woodcarving sculpture business in 2008. His products include wooden statues, puppets, ashtrays and other carving work made to order. Within a month, Hernawan can produce 3,000 small sized sculptures with a turnover of Rp. 12,000,000 to Rp.15,000,000 per month with 40% profit.

In addition to marketing his handicrafts to permanent customers from Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Bali, Hernawan also markets his handicraft products online and even exports to Iran and Taiwan.
