Early Wednesday (21/9) morning came as shock to some Garut people as flood swept houses and residents due to River Cimanuk’s overflow. The disaster took some lives and cause tremendous material loss. On the same day, Sumedang area also suffered from landslides. 

As a form of concern to the Garut flood and Sumedang landslide, the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises and some state-owned enterprises established the State-owned Enterprise “Hadir Untuk Negeri” on site. 

The posts rigged under the instruction of the ministry served to gather all assistants and supplies delivered by state-owned enterprises. As stated by the Deputy for Business Infrastructure of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Hambra, the ministry had instructed all the state-owned enterprises to assist and participate within the disaster responses in West Java. 

“The donations were delivered through each of the state-owned enterprises’ Environment Assistance program, “ said Hambra in his press release. 

Following the ministry’s instruction, PT DAHANA (Persero), the explosive manufacturing enterprises, particiapate by delivering necessary assistance to the casualities of Garut flood and Sumedang landslide. DAHANA’s corporate secretary, Mamat Ruhimat said the assistance came in the form of mineral water, food and clothes.

“Our deepest sympathy to what happened to our friends in Garut and Sumedang. As a means of solidarity, DAHANA delivered some supplies of food, and clothes such as sarong, towel, soap and medicines,” said Mamat Ruhimat to Dfile, Friday (24/9).

Mamat explained (Friday, 24/10), that for the purpose of delivery convenience, the supplies wwer delivered through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri Post located at the Telkom Offfice at Jln. Pramuka No. 32 Garut.

“All were delivered through the BUMN Post in hoping that they may be of help for those exposed to the disasters,” concluded Mamat Ruhimat. (sya)
