Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises becomes the foundation for strengthening the community’s economy as their presence can elevate welfare rates. Therefore, the existence of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises needs to be sustained and encouraged to allow them survive and develop.

Coaching and capital assistance for these businessmen can be one solution. Therefore, other institutions with deep concern about the economic development for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs are needed.

PT DAHANA (Persero) through the Partnership & Community Development Program (PKBL) Unit participated as a caring part for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs with the provision of revolving capital assistance as its partnership program.

DAHANA wishes that the capital assistance provided to Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises can boost the development of beneficiary businesses. In 2018, the Partnership & Community Development Program has formulated an on-target program for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprise business capital.

Since March 2018, the DAHANA Partnership & Community Development Program has launched a centralized revolving venture capital partnership program pilot project in an area, which is called Kampung DAHANA.
The Kampung DAHANA program was first realized in the birthplace of DAHANA, Tasikmalaya. This explosives-producing company has been fostering, providing assistance and providing capital for dozens of footwear handicraft businessmen in Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City.

Craftsmen of footwear such as sandals and shoes are centralized in one area, precisely in Cigantang Girang Village in RW 07. In this area there are around 15 businessmen who have received capital injections from DAHANA.
The Chairman of the DAHANA Partnership & Community Development Program, Eman Suherman, said that the capital provided by Dahana for footwear craftsmen was worth up to 300 million.
“For this first partnership program, every craftsman gets a different capital depending on the strength of his business production, starting from 5 million to 50 million,” said Eman Suherman.

Several months after launching, Kampung DAHANA was finally inaugurated on Wednesday, 26 December 2018. Dahana’s Director of Finance & Human Resources, Asmorohadi, inaugurated Kampung Alas Kaki DAHANA (Footwear Village) himself.

The area in RW 07, Cigantang Girang Village, Mangkubumi, Tasikmalaya, now has another designation name, Kampung DAHANA, the village of DAHANA’s foster footwear craftsmen.

The inauguration of Kampung DAHANA is marked by the establishment of a gate at the entrance of the village road to the Cigantang Girang footwear industry area. This gate firmly stands next to Jl. General Ahmad Yani, which is a cross-region provincial road.

This gate has a special sign with colorful ornaments; there is also a footwear icon in the middle that reads “Dahana Footwear Village”. To the media, Asmorohadi explained that the gate to the entrance to this village is in synergy with BNI and Jasindo. This village is created as a promotional media to introduce and show that the village is home to the industry of sandals and shoes.

“We set up this gate as a joint promotion icon as well as a sign that PT Dahana (Persero) was born and raised in Tasikmalaya,” Asmorohadi said.
“The gate was built in a strategic place, on the provincial road, the crossing of vehicles between districts, so many people would notice and know about it, with the hope to attract businessmen,” he added.
At the inauguration of the Kampung DAHANA, in addition to building a gate monument, DAHANA also distributed Community Development programs with various types of assistance, such as the construction of public toilets, compensation for orphans, distribution of basic necessities, religious facilities and sanitation facilities aid.
“Alhamdulillah, today we also distribute community development in the form of 2 units of MCK (bath-wash toilets), 100 garbage cans, 2 garbage carts, assistance for mosques, and 150 free basic needs for residents who cannot afford it. The orphanage compensation has been previously distributed,” said Asmorohadi.
