The existence of Asean Economic Community (AEC) and the globalization have become a challenge for State-owned Enterprise’s human resource. This is because the State-owned Enterprise’s advancement relies heavily on the quality of their human capital. The fact is 70% of Indonesia’s population is in productive age 50% of which belongs to low education background category. College graduates so far have not been considered as satisfactorily meet the industry needs.

In response to the given situation, the State-owned Enterprises helped find a solution by organizing the so called Certified Student Internship Program (CSIP), which is one programs of BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri initiated the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (IHCF). During the program, practitioners from the State-owned Enterprises are assigned to assist and give the students the chance to demonstrate their potentials and get some related experience at the State-owned Enterprises.
State-owned Enterprises happily welcome the program; one of them is PT DAHANA (Persero), the Subang based explosive manufacturer, that started the DAHANA CSIP 2019 on Friday, February 22, 2019. The program was officially opened by DAHANA’s Director of Finance and Human Resource, Asmorohadi.

19 students from different Indonesia’s college were at the program. They had passed their preliminary respective campus selection and were eligible to join DAHANA’s CSIP

The students were from Univeristas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh (Unsyiah), Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika), Universitas Subang (Unsub) and Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Sutaatmadja (Stiesa).

During the opening speech, Asmorohadi hoped they could take active participation to explore their own strength while learning and experiencing the internship at DAHANA.

“Don’t be passive. Explore yourself. Use whatever good at your campus to practice working here. You know how to link your knowledge with the real work,” said Asmoro.

Before stationed at the desk, the CSIP participants had to be involved in Dahana’s introduction program for a week. They were assigned to some work units afterwards.

“They will be assigned to our Jakarta Head-offices, Subang and the Site. Assignment will be adjusted to their major,” said Bayu Anggoro, PSDMO Senior Manager to Dfile. (SYA)
